Getting Started with SEO Campaigner
Get up and running with SEO Campaigner in under 10 minutes. This guide walks you through everything from downloading the app to launching your first SEO campaign.
Step 1: Purchase and Download
Visit the SEO Campaign Manager Pro product page and complete your purchase. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an email with your license key and download links. You can also access your downloads anytime from your My Account > Downloads page.
Your purchase includes two downloads: the SEO Campaign Manager Desktop App (.exe for Windows) and the CAB A/B Testing WordPress Plugin (.zip). Both are required for the full experience, though the desktop app can be used standalone for keyword research and competitor analysis.
Step 2: Install the Desktop App
Run the downloaded .exe installer and follow the on-screen prompts. The application is lightweight (under 50MB) and installs in seconds. On first launch, you may see a Windows SmartScreen warning — this is normal for new applications. Click “More info” and then “Run anyway” to proceed. We are in the process of obtaining a code signing certificate to eliminate this warning.
The desktop app supports Windows 10 and later. macOS and Linux versions are on our roadmap and coming soon.
Step 3: Activate Your License
Open SEO Campaigner and navigate to Settings > License. Enter the license key from your order confirmation email and click “Activate.” Your license key can be found in your order email, on the My Account > License Keys page, or in the My Account > Orders section. Each license allows activation on a set number of machines depending on your plan.
Step 4: Install the WordPress Plugin
Log into your WordPress admin dashboard. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Choose the CAB A/B Testing Plugin .zip file you downloaded and click “Install Now,” then “Activate.” Once activated, you will see a new “SEO Campaigner” menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar. Navigate there and enter the same license key to connect the plugin to your account.
Step 5: Connect Your WordPress Site
Back in the desktop app, go to Sites > Add Site. Enter your WordPress site URL. The app will automatically detect the SEO Campaigner plugin and establish a secure connection via the REST API. You will see a confirmation once the connection is successful, along with basic site information like WordPress version and active theme.
Step 6: Run Your First Campaign
You are ready to start optimizing. Here are some great first steps:
Keyword Research: Navigate to the Keywords section and enter seed keywords related to your niche. SEO Campaigner will show you search volume, keyword difficulty, and related keyword suggestions to build your initial keyword portfolio.
Site Audit: Run a comprehensive site health audit from the Audit tab. This will scan your WordPress site for common SEO issues like missing meta descriptions, broken links, slow-loading pages, and mobile usability problems.
Rank Tracking: Add your target keywords to the rank tracker. SEO Campaigner will monitor your positions in search results daily and show you trends over time with visual charts.
A/B Testing: Set up your first content experiment. Try testing different title tags on a high-traffic page to see which version generates more clicks from search results.
Competitor Analysis: Add your top competitors to the monitoring dashboard. Track their keyword rankings, content updates, and identify gaps in your own content strategy.
